Caused inflammation of my ear

Not sure why but it activated a fresh infection on my ear (not a fresh piercing) despite cleaning with alcohol wipes before use. Had purchased this specially thinking the material would help but somehow triggered an infection. Disappointed, perhaps the component of the metal doesn’t suit my ear.
